THE SANDMAN
Stephen Abbott is an enduring part of the Australian comedy landscape. While performing regularly over the past ten years as the Sandman or 'Sandy', Stephen has also found time to become an accomplished live performer, radio presenter, writer, actor, even recently turning his hand to documentary making in Siberia. As the Sandman, Stephen has performed on a number of different radio and TV programs, including: ABC TV's The Fat with Tony Squires and his ABC radio serial The 21st in 2003; Triple M's Breakfast Show with Amanda Keller, Mikey Robins and Peter Berner in 2002; a radio serial called Sunstruck Guest House broadcast nationally on ABC radio in 2001/2; Triple J's Breakfast with Adam and Wil and Triple J's Drive show with Merrick and Rosso, in 1999-2000; Sandy also co-hosted Triple J's breakfast program with Mikey Robins and Jen Oldershaw Stephen regularly performs as Sandy on TV programs, such as The Fat on ABC TV, Good News Week, Good News Week Lite, Good News Weekend and in two TV specials with fellow comedian Flacco for Network Ten, and his own special on Network Ten in 2002, Speed of Doubt. Stephen and Paul Livingston (aka Flacco) have developed a strong rapport and commonly perform together as Flacco and the Sandman, both on TV and live on tour. Stephen Abbott's writing credits include 7 books: The Diary of a Bus Clown, 204 Bell Street, Pleasant Avenue, Observations from a Moving Vehicle, This is my Surfboard and Sandman's advice to the unpopular (ABC Books); and Big Man's World (Random House) co-written with Tony Squires and Mikey Robins. Sandman is hugely popular on the corporate circuit, recent clients include The Property Council of Australia, Harvey Norman, and The Laminex Group.

DAMIAN CLARK
From humble beginnings getting a '6' from Red Symons on Red Faces, Damian went on to win the 2000 Perth Comedy Fringe Award, sending him to the Adelaide Fringe. In 2001, Damian's energetic humour saw him selected to be part of The Comedy Zone - a Melbourne International Comedy Festival initiative that supports and produces up-and-comers in the industry.With his lively (some might say manic) approach, Damian then teamed up with fellow 'zoner' and Perth comedian Anthony Menchetti for a sell out season of The Art of Schmoozing in the 2002 Comedy Festival. Their next stop was 'schmoozing' the Edinburgh Fringe where Damian also performed in Raw Prawns - a young, Australian comics showcase. In 2003, Damian was heard as one of Perth Nova 937's Breakfast Crew (Damo, Nat & Craig).Most recently Damian became a Moosehead Award recipient for his first solo show in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival The Bandit, which received sell out crowds. He was then chosen to be on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, which tours around the country.Damian has been seen on The Comedy Channel, ABC TV's 'Stand Up!' and Rove Live.

CHRIS BENNETT
Chris Bennett has been performing as a stand up comedian ever since he discovered his family was a captive audience.
Formerly working in the building trade his boss once told him that he was a class clown who would never grow up and that he was a distraction to everyone. After contemplating this, Chris thought, he had better do something about it and became a stand up comedian. He also realised that his boss was wrong to say those things and he didn't know anything about business anyway, he hasn't seen Mr Grollo since.
Professionally, Chris began working as a stand up comedian in 1993 and has performed all over Australia. He has entertained the widest variety of crowds from AFL football club functions to high profile corporate events. His television credits include several performances on live national television shows such as 'Hey Hey It's Saturday' and 'In Melbourne Tonight'. Chris has also made his presence felt on commercial radio, commencing with Gold FM writing for the breakfast show as well as performing on air segments.
Following on from Gold & after a highly successful stint on Triple M, 'Benno', moved in to the hot spot with Fox FM's number 1 rating breakfast show.
Now after months of getting to bed at 2am only to get up again at 4am for the breakfast show, Chris has opted for sleep over breakfast & has returned to Triple M part time whilst also concentrating on his first love - stand up!
Not only is Chris a seasoned performer going from strength to strength, he is also extremely funny.

ROBERT M PEARSON

or Riverdance maybe...or how about a comedian....a bit of magic.....all of the above'....
He has performed in the US., Canada & Japan, he’s being hailed as one of the finest visual comic/cabaret performers in the business today.
His show biz career started in 1980 with a comedy/variety singing group in Sydney. He stayed with the multi award winning group until 2002 when they did their final farwell tour. In that period from 1980-2002 the group clocked up 27 'MO' & 4 'ACE' awards. While co-writing a lot of the comedy routines for the comedy/singing group, Robert started writing his own style of comedy for stage. Inspired by such great comedians as 'CHARLIE CHAPLIN' & 'BUSTER KEATON' of the silent movie era, he created his own off-the-wall act. Not only using classic & classical pieces of music for his comedy routines he also plays the fiddle, sings opera & performs a piece from Riverdance . All this combined he takes the audience on a wonderful journey, & with each routine he brings to the stage, what ever the audience is expecting him to do he's as likely to do the complete opposite, a master of misdirection, people even think he's a ventriloquist but he's not, it's all part of the magic , you will find out why......he is being hailed as one of the finest visualcomic/cabaret performers to day. .....' I can't believe he did all that, then came out and did Riverdance to finish'.....

POMMY JOHNSON
Colin "Pommy" Johnson is a live-wire stand-up comedian who has toured extensively. His act is versatile and well suited to a wide cross section of audiences and situations. He performs regularly on campuses, at social functions, sporting clubs, corporate events and product launches. In 1993 he worked the comedy circuit in London and regularly tours all over Australia performing at a wide range of venues including ski resorts such as Perisher Valley and Falls Creek. |

DES DOWLING
Des Dowling is one of Melbourne's most sought after stand-up comedians, just ask him. He started his professional life as a journalist in the print media.
From there he worked for more than a decade as a TV News reporter for the ABC, Channel 9 and Channel 7.
After working as a current affairs reporter on "A Current Affair" (Ch 9) and "Real Life" (Channel 7) he decided being regarded with the same disdain as used car salesmen and corrupt politicians wasn't any way to go through life.
He opted out of the harsh glare of commercial television and entered the seedy world of stand up comedy only to end up back in the harsh glare of commercial television working as Sam Newman's writer and segment producer on "The Footy Show".
Des' comedy schtick is the sum of his experiences, from wide eyed farm boy to jaded journo with something in between for people of all ages and backgrounds, except perhaps used car salesmen and corrupt politicians.
He marked his arrival on the national stage with a place in the Australian final of the Triple J Raw Comedy competition in 1998 and has appeared regularly on television (Channel 9, Channel 7, the ABC and the Comedy Channel) and radio (MMM, Fox FM and 3AW).

BIG BROTHER / LITTLE BROTHER
Big Brother Little Brother is a hilarious musical comedy duo featuring brothers Adam and Mathew Hedditch.
Since winning Green Faces, a national comedy competition held each year in Canberra, the boys have gone on to perform their unique brand of comedy throughout Australia and overseas. Including Iraq, where they performed to thousands of Australian and Coalition Troops.
