TRIPOD

Cuter than an armful of puppies, funkier than white boys should be and smarter than a nasty graze! Buckle up for a fast-paced onslaught of comedy and music rolled into a colourful, lovable and let's face it- downright sexy bundle!
Tripod are Scod, Gatesy and Yon: three skinny, self-effacing, fun-loving lads who are just trying to make their way in the world without killing each other. The geek, the cool 'wannabe' and the weirdo sing and gyrate their way through the problems of the world and even manage to create a few new ones while they're at it.
Tripod have made countless TV and radio appearances, toured Australia extensively and have enjoyed sell-out shows in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival every year. Edinburgh can't wait to have them back for a third time!
Melbourne's own 'professional singing idiots' have been dazzling audiences worldwide for over six years, most recently as popular regulars with Wil Anderson & Adam Spencer on Triple J. Tripod have released two full-length albums, the latest of which is a live album entitled "Open Slather", released through Rubber Records, containing the Xmas rock anthem "I Hate Your Family".

CHRIS BENNETT

Chris Bennett has been performing as a stand up comedian ever since he discovered his family was a captive audience.
Formerly working in the building trade his boss once told him that he was a class clown who would never grow up and that he was a distraction to everyone. After contemplating this, Chris thought, he had better do something about it and became a stand up comedian. He also realised that his boss was wrong to say those things and he didn't know anything about business anyway, he hasn't seen Mr Grollo since.
Professionally, Chris began working as a stand up comedian in 1993 and has performed all over Australia. He has entertained the widest variety of crowds from AFL football club functions to high profile corporate events. His television credits include several performances on live national television shows such as 'Hey Hey It's Saturday' and 'In Melbourne Tonight'. Chris has also made his presence felt on commercial radio, commencing with Gold FM writing for the breakfast show as well as performing on air segments.
Following on from Gold & after a highly successful stint on Triple M, 'Benno', moved in to the hot spot with Fox FM's number 1 rating breakfast show.
Now after months of getting to bed at 2am only to get up again at 4am for the breakfast show, Chris has opted for sleep over breakfast & has returned to Triple M part time whilst also concentrating on his first love - stand up!
Not only is Chris a seasoned performer going from strength to strength, he is also extremely funny.
